I was a little hesitant to create one of these “About Me” pages but then I read that potential clients like to know there’s a real person behind the company. So here goes.
I ended up a web guy (designer and developer sounds a bit too technical to me) largely by accident. One of my hobbies is photography and I wanted a little more personal way than email, Flickr or Picasa to share my pictures with family and friends. I found myself in the situation I describe on my home page. The template sites were affordable but they definitely weren’t what I had in mind. And of course the fancy ones I liked were way out of my budget. Since I had always had an interest in how websites were built, it seemed like the perfect time and reason to give it a try. Little did I know how much I would enjoy it and where it would take me.
In addition to my website work, I’m also a firefighter/EMT. I’ve been doing that for the last 15 years and that happened kind of by accident as well…seems to be a pattern emerging here. I studied finance in college but quickly realized I wasn’t cut out for a white-collar desk job. It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
In true “save the best for last” fashion, there’s my family. My wife Linda and my children Brooke and Danny fill my life with love, peace and happiness.
